You are aware that the internet experts say the 1d3 AF was rubbish...

To a certain degree they are right, Mike...in good light and with an uncluttered background the 1D3 AF would work OK, but throw in poor light conditions and a cluttered background and the AF was shockingly bad, over the years it cost me loads of missed shots.
