Sorry if i post it on wrong topic.

Got eyes on Pristine condition 450D with 18-55mm IS len which is like 20 miles away from me, come with 6 month left warranty, lowe bag and 4GB card.

However, its say "The camera and lens have hardly been used, they were bought on a trip to the Far East on 25 Sept. 2009."

I guess warranty wont cover in UK if camera bought from far east?

Pic prove show warrenty..

Also, would camera has different setting or different language than UK camera or its all the same?

Brand new Canon EOS 450D Digital SLR Camera inc EF-S 18-55mm Lens from from office depot /viking return, very cheap one so i email to seller to ask why its cheap etc. That what i got reply:

"This is an office depot /viking return because it must be the european version or at least the plug for the charger was. It was new when it arrived but as the seal was broken I have tested it with my flash card and spare batteries and made sure it is perfect.. I hope it answers all your queries. I have added an UK power convertor. Out of curiosity is there a difference between the UK and Euro version except power."

Should i back off from both of them and buy canon uk one?

Thanks :)

I have see your sale topic, im after 450d. Sorry mate.

No problem

Good Luck in your search.... I suggest you try here too!

You haven't mentioned a price... personally I wouldn't want to be paying more than £350 at the very most.

In answer to your question - I bought a 400d some time ago from Hong Kong, and again 2x40d's from Hong Kong. All were in English - no different to the UK model in any shape or form, other than the warranty which was HK only. If the camera had developed a fault - technically it would only be honoured in HK. Nothing ever went wrong - so didn't ever need to try out the warranty. It is a risk that goods go wrong - but the probability of a Canon camera going wrong in the first year isn't high - but it's a chance you take.

At the time I saved a lot of money, and do have friends in HK that would help me if things went wrong - but in the end it's your own choice.

From your photo I can see it was registered in Thailand - so if it goes wrong - it'll need a trip back to the far east - an excuse for a holiday for you? :)

why buy a 450d for £400 when there's a second hand 40d for £385 on here????

Also have you thought about the price of shipping to uk?

for £415 + about £40 extra you could buy a brand new 450D, with 1 years warranty.

seriously search here too!!

That what i need :) most of second hand cameras i have been look on ebay are out of warranty.

The camera above has 2000 shutter count so its closer to new?

Any link? i cant find it :( what the different between 450d and 40d?

http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=215268

what's not the difference.....one's small and plastically, the other is metally and burly,

I'd suggest a PM to Matt Sayle, look in the motorsport section, he spends his life hiding in there, he's just upgraded from 450d to 40d

One's a starter camera, the other's a semi pro camera, and i know many full time professional photographers who have a 40d as a back up, and a fair few who still have as a primary body

it's a stunning camera
