Critique Two long 'uns from Saltburn

I do like the first a lot, but those people are more of a distraction to me. I think it's the 3 bright coloured jackets causing me the biggest issue.

Thanks folks :)

On the subject of the brightly-clad people in the first, I oscillate between liking them and disliking them.

On balance, I think I like them more than not.

For number 1, it's the people and especially those jackets that add a spark of focus to an otherwise great but slightly flat image.

Number 2 has a really good concept and the sea & foreground work well, but it loses a little with the slightly tangerine orange and details of the furnace being softened, and the streetlights balancing and weakening the impact of the furnace area. If the streetlights were a little less intense and the orange more fiery I think it would be a more powerful image.

As a young chemist I was part of the team that commissioned that Blast Furnace. Some great memories. Thanks for them.

Both very nice images with lovely colour.

2 Great shots and the simple foreground object in #2 just works for me.
