Two New Jumpers...

[Bend The Light]

I found a jumping spider in the house, on the window sill...must have come in when the window was open int he sun.
He was a little dusty...

taken with a 90mm f2.8 macro with 12cm macro tubes. Quite pleased with the lighting, especially the first. Second is a good "eye" shot, but not so good lighting...

very good indeed, what's wrong with the lighting in#2?

Very good and glad he stopped still long enough to get some shots off. I like the angle in no1 best but shame about the debris on him or her.

It doesn't look too bad, but I had to increase exposure quite a bit in the second...the position of the flash relative to the spider caused a great shadow over him...but I liked the shot of his eyes, so rescued it.

The first is not far of SOOC, so better light in the first place.

I chased him around a bit, to be honest. Probably why he picked up more debris on the way!

He, and others I have found recently, do stop...for about 1-2 seconds before shooting off again. It's fun trying to manual focus by moving myself in those two seconds to get the shot with a Depth of Field smaller than his head!
