two questions

You can't view the LCD, its only on the 300 and 350 that you get liveview.

don't know bout the glass sorry

sorry to hear that..I don't know much about the Tamron, but it must be better that than Sigma you listed!

nothing as such, but the one you listed is nothing on the one I suggested. I might have had a soft copy, but all my pictures came out soft. With the other Sigma they were really quite sharp. But as I say, maybe I had a poor copy. You might be able to work its magic and it might suit you. I would suggest going to your local Jessops and taking your body along and ask to try both lenses and see which one suits you.

Jessops just closed near me, need to find the next closest one :(

Whats the difference? One begins with S, the other with T........

Other than that, if you get a good one of either........

1. On my sony alpha 200 does anyone know if it is possible to view through the lcd screen before shooting?

2. Whats the difference in these two quality wise, which would be best and why?

out of the two you have listed here ... the tamron ,if i were you i'd look for the sigma 70-300 DG APO version ,they go for about £100ish on ebay second hand ,it's not that bad in the right conditions

Cheers ;)

Ive actually just found the tamaron for £99 so looks like that wins out of the two

it will, make sense....

Sigs and Tammys have very mixed reviews on here.....

Seems an issue with perceived build quality and sharpness.....

What about the sony 75-300mm? (not that it's anything to do with me wanting to sell mine or anything:D)

Sure I saw a tamron in the classifieds as well
