Not to sure on these, i seem to struggle with getting dramatic lighting when shooting film.

Please let me know your thoughts

All shot on Portra 400 with a bronica sq-ai... yes i converted portra to b&w :bonk:
 
Yeah, that is a seriously heroic look for a little dog. :)

Don't know why but the light for the skateboard ones is "off", maybe just too much. I'm not sure.
 
I think perhaps the shadows aren't quite strong enough for the dramatic look you're after.

Perhaps there's to much ambient filling the shadows? I think with film you have to go further than you do with digital because of its extra latitude in order to get the same effect.
 
The dogs a winner. Great pose.
 
It seems like all the action interest is concentrated in a tiny portion of the frame, the rest is un-dramatic environmental.
The stop action is great, but its so so tiny in a big ole 6x6.
Get closer, fill the frame...:)
