UDMA cards in a 40D

Hi - Does anyone know if the Canon 40D can make use of the extra write speed of UDMA CF cards. My friend Nigpd got one for his 7D and seemed to rattle off 24 continuous RAW files at 8fps (the spec is only 15), so it seems they are great for long burst exposures. Thanks

I think this only became available from the 50D onwards, because Canon upped the MP count and maintained (almost) the frame rate they needed to use the latest DIGIC 4 processor, whereas the 40D uses the previous one.

Think the 40D wouldn't really benifit from the UDMA cards, I have an extreme III (30mb/s) version and haven't buffered it up. Think the new 7D and 5D II are UDMS compliant.
