Interesting

I've been driving past one at Rishworth Moor for over 35yrs, always thought it was put in by farmers for sheep

.....according to the link, it was built in the 17th century and is an ancient monument!

Fairly lucky that there are a few in my area.

One place in particular has several bridges, packhorse, clapper & clam.
A lovely little hamlet that is well worth a visit if anyone is in the area; https://thejournalofantiquities.com/2016/01/20/the-three-ancient-bridges-wycoller-lancashire/

An interesting link with one quite nearby that I had never heard of knew existed..............will go and seek it out, more so because looking at the online OS maps no bridge is shown but it is mentioned without photographs as being there!
