Hi my name is David and I am currently a final year Engineering Design degree student at John Moores University, Liverpool, UK.

For my dissertation I am re-designing the current model of the flash x-tender and the overall aim is to create a working prototype of the improved model.

One of the main aims of the project is to make the X-tender universal thus fitting all flashguns.

For my research I have attached a questionnaire which I hope you will take the time to complete and return to me at the following address d.t.entwistle@2005.ljmu.ac.uk or as a message back to my username or in the forum would be great too!

Just to be clear the "Flash X-tender" I am mentioning is the one with fresnel lens that narrows the flash beam and thus extends the reach of the flash with two plastic brakets attached either side.

If you google it you will get a better representationas to what I mean. Thanks again!

7. How much would you be willing to pay for an X-tender? i wouldn't as i dont use a focal length of 300mm much, or much flash

9. What features would you like to see improved or added to the current X-tender? Well i modified mine by putting a top and bottom on it and covering the inside in silver foil to reflect more of the light, and made a small pouch for it to fit in so i dont need it redesigning, i just did it myself.

It must be dissertation time at uni because this is the third 'questionaire' in 3 days, atleast this one is photography based though.


im not going to fill it in because like 2 people above, ive never used one nor needed one
