Ultra Wide Angle Lens for Canon EF mount

Looking to get an ultra wide angle for Canon 5d Mk ii. Canon doesnt seem to offer much choice so I guess it will have to be a third party lens. Was looking at Tamron 10-24mm and the two options from Sigma.

Has anyone used any of these lenses? would appreciate any feedback

I've used the Siggy 10-20mm

Its great, very very wide! Nice build quality aswell! Although a filter for it will be expensive

From Canon, you have the 17-40mm F4L and 16-35mm f2.8L, plus the older 17-35mm f2.8L.

You also have the Tamron 17-35mm f2.8-4, Sigma 17-35mm f2.8-4 and Sigma 12-24mm f4.5-5.6

The Sigma 10-20mm is a DC lens, and for crop sensor cameras only. The Tamron 10-24mm you mention is also a crop only lens. Bear in mind that 10mm on a crop sensor camera is equivalent to 16mm on a full frame.

17-40L is excellent and very good value all things considered. And as said 16-17mm is extremely wide on a 5D2.

Wider than that is the 14L 2.8 prime - at £2k.

If you want an ultra wide zoom for a 5D, the Sigma 12-24mm. What's wider but not fisheye?

I use mine on APS-C DSLR but it looks amazing on eos 30.
