un rar or un zip on Mac's

i have downloaded a prog from the net .. what do i use to unzip or un rar it .

Ive always unzipped on mac, If its a RAR file ive used software on pc. But RAR expander can be used on mac, you can download a free trial.

Personaly if you have a choice then I'd use ZIP. Failing that try http://www.unrarx.com/ for RAR. It's a pity 7zip isn't available for Mac, it unpacks loads of formats including Zip, and RAR

UnRarX for RAR files and stuffit expander for zips

or even The Unarchiver
