As above.. I'm photographing an under 18s event soon, and the club manager is worried because apparently the photos won't be allowed to be published online. Am I right in thinking it shouldn't be a problem? The subjects will all be fully dressed, no alcohol will be served, and they're all their with their parents permission.
Just looking for some clarification on the law, don't want to get myself arrested.

can you clarify wont be allowed... does he mean the parents have expressed a concern and dont want them online or maybe the event organisors or the event location people have said no?

Theres no law.. I ahve laods of junior stuff on my site

His area manager has started worrying that they'll get in trouble for having someone taking photos of the event and/or publishing the photos. I told him to stop reading the Daily Mail but he didn't get it.. I can't see what laws I'd be breaking, no indecent images or anything, but thought someone on here might know for sure.

no reason to not publish them online since it would be editoral use

I thoguht under 16 you had to have parents permission. Think this is usually written into club memberships for football and the like. I am sure as they are minors parents permission is needed. Not sure, just a thought.

nope.. not all all.. in fact nothing like that at all.. no age restrictions.. you can go shoot an under 11s football saturday morning if you like..

simpe fact is.. there are no rules or laws or anything else.

I wouldn't worry about the consent thing, but if it's a party I would worry about taking what the law would class as 'provocative' images of under 18's. When you started a similar thread about under 18 shoots I think this was covered  might be worth looking back at it.

just a thought :)

As Kipax says there are no rules or laws or anything else, I have literally thousands of under 18s on my website gallery .

There is only one rule regarding photographing minors, the image must not be of a sexually explicit nature.
