am looking for an underwater housing for a 400d anyone know where i can source one cheap.ish as won't be using it too much ( don't need to go to deep 5-10m)

I'm not sure underwater housing and cheap go in the same sentence Craig!

If you're not going too deep there are a few bag type housings on the market, but how trustworthy they are I've no idea.

lol thanks ct........... this was my concern as i can only find an UW for about £1k was thinking mibbe a new compact and housing instead ............
 
You might be better off looking for an underwater camera. There are loads which you can use to a reasonable depth for a fraction of the cost of a decent housing.

Something like this would be ideal although there are plenty of cheaper options.

LOL... yeah they're film ...soz. Do a google search on underwater cameras - you'll find loads of digi ones.
 
another & maybe better option may be a compact and housing - you get a good set up for about £300.

A bag is an option - but bear in mind they have limitations - you can't work a zoom ring, they only work with internal focussing lenses and although they are rated to 20+m most people reckon they are unuseable after 10
