* * UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY * *

Haven't dived since Xmas 2005 when I qualified on EANx and Wreck. Suffered an injury to my knee skiing in Feb '06 and haven't really been able to dive. Did a Scuba review last February and I could barely walk afterwards; I'm gutted because I love diving...doesn't stop me wearing nothing but Seven-tenths T-Shirts though

7/10s are out 4th element is in...

My club parted ways with our local pool and with it we stopped training novices, now we're a club of experienced divers (all twinset or rebreathers) and charter a hardboat on the south coast at least twice a month. This weekend it's the HMS Swordfish (submarine in about 40m) and at the end of the month it's the Moldavia (P&O liner in 54m)...

Let me know if you ever fancy a dive!

You lucky fish :p

Maybe it's time for a guess the wreck or 'creature'

:plusone:

Wrecks ands reefs Red Sea is a good crack for a variation .. with generally great viz.. Thistlegorm at night is great fun...

O'Hell, yes! It's one of the pleasures of being in Saudi ;)

hmmmm................tp underwater meet anyone?

Now there's a challenge!

Well I like my 7/10 shirts thank you very much :p

An underwater TP meet...now there's an idea...I wouldn't shoot, but I'll dive :p

Anyone recognise this...

This is it fully open and feeding... did not get any good shots of them closed...

20m vis? I've heard it's been good recently but that's amazing!
Will let you know how it is for me at the end of the month.
Yep it sure was, I could see the wreck laid out in front of me from around 25m or so :D
Good viz in the UK isn't as rare as many people (not just divers) would have us believe....as I'm sure you know
I was showing a guy at work some video footage I took a few years ago & he didn't believe me when I said it was filmed just 11nm south of Plymouth until he saw in some of the shots the divers wearing drysuits :D

What are you diving? 40min at that depth racks up a serious deco penalty... unless you're on a rebreather?

Yep :D Been diving the unit since 03 & wouldn't dive anything else now.
Total in water time was 80mins, so deco was around the 30 - 35min mark which isn't too bad.
I don't tend to notice the difference too much until I dive with an OC buddy....one dive on HMS POW in the South China Sea springs to mind, we'd had a similar bottom time of around 35 - 40mins (at 60 - 69m), but he'd got an extra 60mins more deco than I had

He went home after the trip & bought an RB
