Not reallyWhat freedom of movement? A panning clamp pans flat left-right, you don't want any other movement.
I think you've missed the point.
If you're using a shift lens for architectural work, for example, then having left-right and up-down movement available without disturbing the horizontal alignment would be a tremendous boon. Even a regular rectilinear lens would benefit.
It's grabbed my attention, though having to use an L bracket for portrait format does spoil that somewhat. :-/
