Was just looking for opinion on third party battery's rather than official canon/nikon/sony ect ect.

Is there any really good value third party battery's out there.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I've had some poor ones which don't last a year, but the phottix ones I've had more luck with
just bought some random ones for my 7D
they work okay, but don't quite interact with the charger properly. so it looks like they keep on charging...but they power the camera fine and for 1/5 of the price or less I'm sold.

I got some off ebay for less than a fiver, and to be honest, they're great.

was just about to buy a pack of two on e-bay then thought...wait a minute sound too good to be true will check TP forums for a heads up.

cheers mate.

I've bought quite a few Inov8 batteries, they seem to last at least a s long as originals.
Ebay or Amazon usually have a supply but be careful with Ebay, lots of counterfeit rubbish about there.

I got some cheap ones off ebay, and if anything there better than the original.... Puzzling i know.....

Energizer replacement batteries for my Olympus seem to give me about the same time as the original - I've been happy with them.

I've had unofficial spares from eBay before and lasted 6 months. Seems like a bit of a gamble when at least the originals are consistently up to standard. Personally I'd pay for legit batteries every time.
