Unpartitioning a drive

I have a 120GB drive from a Laptop which I have put in an external enclosure to use as an extra backup. The drive is set up as 2 partitions, 1 used to have the system & programs on it, the other had the documents, pictures etc. Each partition is 58ish GB.
How do I, easily, get back to 1 partition? (or even change the sizes of the existing ones so that 1 is almost all of the 120GB)
Is it just a matter of somehow using Disk Manager?
I have Vista & Windows 7.

start button
control panel
(view by large icons to show everything)
administative tools
computer managment

from the computer managment window click disk managment on the left.

using extreme caution right click the uneeded partition and delete it, after agreeing with the warning message and deleting it right click the remaining one and expand it

you should be able to use all the remaining space to expand it and its all done within 5 minutes :)

if you want a clean slate delete both and create one new one ;)

OK, I rt clicked the one with the system etc and selected Delete Volume, all OK, it now shows as Unallocated.
I rt clicked the one I want to expand and selected Extend Volume.
I the went through the Wizard clicking next and then Finish. A message came up saying the selected basic disk would be converted to a Dynamic Disk, I clicked Yes and got the message "The operation is not supported by the object"
:shrug:

Any ideas?
 
If you don't need any of the data on the drive just format it.
 
if you dont need any of the data on the drive just delete them both and create a new one.

I was hoping to keep the data but no problem - I have it on my Laptop, Desktop & External HD.
I want to use this one to backup & store it elsewhere.
