Hi everyone, thought i would let you know the outcome of my D300 issue. I went into jessops to see the manager, who i know reasonably well as im a regular! he had a look at the camera reader and the card. he confirmed that the pins were fine, aligned as they should be with the two centre ones slightly higher than the others. he looked at the card and ran a scan on it which proved to be faulty or had problems. he replaced the card with a new one, tried, tested, formatted, removed, reinserted etc etc and everything now seems to be perfect. the card fits like a glove (the first one never did!) fortunately nothing is damaged in the card reader/camera which is a great relief. he also mentioned that i should come back if i have any concerns/problems. just wanted to let you know this and again to say thank you to all for posting here and keeping me sane! i havent slept for 4 nights worrying! lol. regards. Jen

That sounds like excellent news and a definate relief I'm sure

Also great customer service from Jessops (I know it's what we should expect, but don't always receive), so well done Jessops

Thats makes a pleasant change, positive fedback for Jessop's! Never had a problem there myself, but lots of neg on the forum. Probably depends on the branch/manager/staff. Glad you got it sorted!

Hi,

I'm really pleased that the outcome was good for you.

Sometimes the worst part is worrying about what might happen, but until we get a definitive answer that's what most of us do.

The Jessops guy sounds like one of the good guys.

Hope you have many happy days shooting with your camera.

Ken

Pleased it has been sorted for you, must confess Jessops have always given me good customer service. When I read your original post I thought that it would be put down to user error. Thumbs up to the manager.

Great news, and I for one am happy to see some good old customer service.

Superb result!
