Upgrade GFX card?

Just a thought.. My graphics cards is a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS (PS3.0/VS3.0)

I wonder if it would be worth treating myself to an upgrade and if it was viable enough for the benefits. I'd assume PS would run a bit smoother at certain operations.

I'd like to double the ram as well at some point but I know when I've mentioned this to techies (I'm on 4gb, windows 7 64 bit) they have mentioned checking out the graphics card as that might be worth upgrading first... Decisions decisions...

unless you have CS4 (or above) and are upgrading to a supported card then it wont impact your PS speed.

spend your money on more RAM and/or CPU.

Graphics acceleration with CS4/5 is "limited" to 2D screen redraw (zooming/rotating etc...) - see: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404439.html#main_GPU_use. It won't make the filters go any quicker from what I can see, so if you're spending 90% of your time waiting for filters to run, CPU/RAM is by far your best bet...
