I've just replaced the harddrive in my macbook pro but now it won't switch on. I've gone back over the stps to make sure the ribbon is ok and no problem there, its a mystery. Does anyone have any ideas ..... please ??:'(

have you loaded any software on it?

Which model?

It is quite possible that the ribbon cable that runs from the top case to the mother board has become detached and hence the power button is not connected to the board.

Nothing at all, power to it but won't switch on. No software on it yet as I can;t boot up. Its a MacBook Pro 15" model 2.2

I'll go back in and check that Darren
