Upgrading to a 7D timing.

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my 400D with a 7D and was just wondering if now is a good time of year to buy or if there are likely to be good deals on bodies in the new year. Best price atm is £1124 on Amazon. I also see kelso on here is selling them for £999. Should i just be buying it? I also need the 70-200 f4 IS. The canon rebates dont seem that great atm.

Forget waiting, the prices will always go up and down like a yoyo.
 
+1...if you keep waiting you'll never get one. Prices fluctuate from time to time but nothing to bag a real saving.

There are a couple selling on here for around £800 with 10k or so acts if you are prepared to look at second hand and cost is an issue.
 
Given that Amazon dropped as low as £1069, I'd hang on and wait for them to drop again as I reckon it won't be long until they're back down to that level. Probably exchange rate fluctuations causing it.
 
I'm not interested in a second hand camera, i prefer to buy new and have my warranty etc. but of course i like to get the best deal when i buy kit. :D
