I'm wanting to upgrade my lens arsenal.

Currently using a Nikon 50mm 1.8 and a 18 to 105 nikon.

Really want to upgrade possibly better aperture or just a generally better all round lens. I reckon there has to be better than what I'm using.

I'd like a 18-105 zoom and 50mm.

Any suggestions over what I currently have? Anything I should be aware of?
 
Guessing you want faster apature? Something like a tamron 17-50 2.8 would be good

If you want sharpness then get a sigma foveon camera

As far as I know there is only one version of the 18-105mm which you already own so you would have to look at other options to upgrade at a different focal length. Nikon 17-55 f/2.8, Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 etc.

The class leading 50mm at the moment is the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART.
