Okay, currently I have:
Canon 7D
Samyang 8mm Fisheye MkII - EF
Tamron 10-24 f3.5-4.5 - EF-S
Canon 15-85 IS USM - EF-S
Canon 28 f2.8 - EF
Canon 50 f1.8 - EF
Canon 70-200 f4 - EF
Now I'm thinking of upgrading to a 5D MkIII, with a lot of my work being static and lit, I think I'd benefit from the jump to FF, and with work being published I think the extra quality would help. I also do Motorsport which the crop is nice for but I think the FF is more important.
Now upgrading to FF I obviously lose a few lenses, and would need a new one, most likely a 24-70 f2.8 MkII, as it would be my main lens for static work, and is pretty much a keep forever lens.
I'm considering also selling my 28 and 50 primes, I'm not happy with my 50, for whatever reason it's missing focus sometimes, and it's getting more and more annoying, and the 28 probably will be worse than the 24-70 could. And then next year pick up a 17-40 or 16-35 when I'll be doing car shows that may need something wider.
Track work would probably need an extender, or a longer lens, which is annoying but the trade off.
Is replacing 3 of my lenses for the 24-70 a stupid idea? Along with an upgrade to Full Frame. It's a big investment but one I can see coming eventually, and with cash back/deals now seems a good time.
Sort of thinking out loud here, but any input would be great.
Not looking to switch, really like Canon lenses and the way the Body works and feels.
