When I preview the image from my hard drive it looks fine.

When uploading onto my website or any image hosting site it begins to distort the colour. Any ideas what I can do? Strange how it does not do this for all photos?

EDIT: I found that this only happens when I export an image from LR to Photoshop. Save it to sRGB. When I upload it, it washes the colour out. Any ideas what I can do to get this sorted? Also its strange how if I create a new blank image and paste my image onto that new blank canvas it saves it in the correct colour profile.

What do the images look like on your own PC when not viewed in Adobe software; ie with windows viewer, IrfanView or similar?

They look how i process them in LR, vibrant and full of colour. When I export them to Photoshop and resize them they still look fine. Its only when I save it to JPG it looks washed out.

It sounds as though your colour management in LR & PS is off.

There are a few threads about it, and specifically one yesterday that explains how to fix the problem.

Under the "EDIT" menu in photoshop Elements there is a sub menu about colour preferences, click this and theres 4 options about how to let your computer/software manage colours, try each one and see, mines set for "print"

i assume its the same in Photoshop as in Elements
