Hi I have a Canon Powershot SX260 HS compact and I would like to know ho to upload the pictures from the camera to the pc. The intructions are not very clear and sometimes the page (when it tried to load to Chrome) said 'not reponding' which is rather annoying.

Can anyone explain to me in plain English (no jargon please) how do do this?

I am going round in circle's trying to work it out. :bang:

Many thanks.

Hi

If you dont have the disc that came with your camera

Either use a card reader, or Plug your camera into your PC then go to My computer, double click when it open look for the removable Drive (Your Camera), double click, double click on the folder to see which one has the files in it then, CTRL A to select them all, right click to copy them, Make a new folder in your documents, and paste them into it HTHs

did you get a usb cable with the camera? if you plug it in and turn the camera on you should get a autoplay popup asking if you would like to upload them to your computer, you say yes it automatically saves them in your pictures folder.

Your right as well, but for some reason my PC doesnt give the popup

On my Nikon the autoplay box pops up when connected, i click on "Open folder to view files" and then click the DCIM folder as i prefer to drag and drop the ones i want :)

If it doesn't pop up you can just go to My Computer and it will be listed as a "Device with removeable storage".

You can either connect via USB or use a card reader for your SD.

I'll try that an see what happens.
