Hi Bongo The two working best for me are 1 and 3. The first has great colours and the contrail (?) really gets your attention. The third really brings out the emptiness.
The second for me doesn't have much. There's no real focal point and the colours aren't strong enough to grab your attention
I think these are all shots that when you first see them, the expanse of the view makes you go wow, yet on film (or digital film) it doesn't work. You need some strong focal point to hold the viewers attention.
The view was really nice in Southport but once its been shot it somehow loses a bit (well in this case maybe alot). I could see the Blackpool tower & 'The Big One' but you can't make it out on shot 2.
Funnily enough, I quite like 2, I have just had a play in PS and you can get some nice solours that are a bit more vivid out of it.... I think the shoreline does however take you out of the shot a little, rather than leading you in ..
