Urban waterbirds

I visited my daughter who lives in Canada Water in London's docklands last Sunday. We went for a walk and in one of the docks I spotted a floating island with a nesting Grebe and a nesting Coot on it. They had built nests out of all kinds of debris including plastic bags and other junk. The nests were close and they kept threatening each other, the coot more than the grebe.

some good exposure on the coots they can be difficult, its amazing what they use fir their nesting material

Good efforts, can't help thinking the saturation is a little strong though (?)
