Urgent - help need re Samsung Galaxy S

My gran has the Samsung Galaxy S and she's going away unexpectedly to Florida on Saturday for 3 weeks. Now she wants to take it with her, and her vodafone contract, but she obviously wants to turn of the mobile internet, so the only charges will be voice calls and/or texts. I'm not seeing her before she goes (I'm apparently the only one that can do anything with her phones....) so she wants me to talk her thru it over the phone, but....no matter how hard I look online, I can't see a way of doing it! Not simple like iPhone, one click and its off! Does anyone have any info about this? It would be much appreicated to save her coming home to a ginormous bill!

im assuming its all the same for andriod..

settings
wireless & networks
untick mobile network

that disables "use phone for data connection when wi-fi is unavailable"
