URGENT HELP REQUIRED!!!!

Everytime i try to use microsoft office the cursor changes to a circle with 2 triangles and a dot and it zips all around the page when i try to do anything !!!!!! Any ideas on how to reset the cursor.......

do you have a mouse wheel you can depress to bring up the scroll round the screen? If so presss it again. It will revert
