Am thinking of getting something onto which I can dump the contents of CF cards whilst away from a computer.

Thing is I already have external USB hard drives which I can use and so just need something which can sit between the camera and the drive and shovel the contents across.

The Delkin USB Bridge is the sort of thing I need but it's only USB 1.1 which would be a nightmare copying several gigs of images across - is there anything similar out there but with USB 2.0?
 
Did you actually read my post? I already have external USB hard drives giving me hundreds of gigs of storage so I don't particularly want to pay out another £100 for a storage device, I just need a means of using my existing storage.

Both the Delkin unit and also the Belkin USB Anywhere seem just the ticket but are only USB 1.1 so will take an age.
 
The only one I'd heard of was the delkin, but it's slower than a slow thing on a really slow day. I tend to avoid Belkin products, they being over fond of failing.

18 months on and there still doesn't seem to be anything available.

Surely there's a market for a small device which dumps the contents of a CF card to a USB hard drive? Does anyone know of any such device? (USB 2.0 of course)
