User feedback please on site mods?

Not a fan to be honest, looks messy and I don't like the theme. Sorry.

Thanks for the feedback but maybe you could elaborate a bit more...what do you mean by the "theme" & is there anything about the site that's o.k or if not what makes it "messy".

I'm looking to tweak it to make it user friendly so welcome ideas, specific feedback

Should the checkout button be on a separate row? It is in Safari and FF on my Mac!?

Does look kind of messy to be honest, the text just seems to be floating on the background if that makes any sense (i.e. they dont have a place) and the menu at the bottom doesn't line up at the corners, the far left button (home) meets with the rounded corner of the main site so you get some grey background creeping in.

If you don't see that in your browser I can do a screen grab for you :)

A few points that might help you:
The lack of contrast between the text in black and the grey background makes it difficult to read.
Informations are difficult to find and confusing, in a website content is king..
Place your navigation bar on top or on one side, or have 2 navigation bars 1 top, 1 on the side
The overall layout is a bit messy (not consistent)
Carefull in using 'mailto', not everyone has outlook set up on their machine
Google checkout does not load up.
Good luck

Simon,

Just had a look and I do like your pictures but I am not that keen on the theme used of the site.

(a theme is the general look, collection of buttons, default layout etc)

The main title does not really stand out at all, you could use the whole page width and the font chosen is rather boring. Do you have a logo for your company name? Maybe done as a bitmap. It just needs to stand out more and done like that it just looks more professional.

There is a problem on your home page (at least in Safari):

The theme you have chosen for a menu does not make it obvious that you have a particular option selected. I thought that this was a fault (to begin with):

I appreciate the reason for using grey, grey, black and white but it just needs something to make it pop I think. The background is a little dark. The about page is just a block of text, again just black and white.

[from Mrs Cowasaki, can you graduate the centre in the reverse direction to the background graduation. She thinks that that might help]
