Using an old bellows with a Nikon D-SLR

Hello All

I recently bought an old Soligor bellows in the hope of playing around cheaply with macro photography. I have a D5000 and a D50 and while I know AF and so on will not work, I figured I could learn quite a bit experimenting.

Before I try mounting the camera on the bellows, I was wondering if there is a way of working out whether the mounts on it are pre-AIS and therefore likely to damage my cameras. The Nikon mounts are via screw on adapters and the only markings are N-F on both front and back.

I can easily post a link to the finished listing on a certain well-known auction site, which includes a few pictures, but didn't want to do this without checking the rules.

Thanks in advance for any help (and forgive me for being an ignorant newcomer).

Cheers
