Using Cokin filters on wide angle help?

I can't speak for the Z-Pro seried but for the P series, there are 2 filter holders, one which is designed for SWA lenses and only holds one filter,
 
They say it vignettes below 20mm on full frane (so around 14mm on your 40d) - is there a wide angle version available?

I've used the Cokin wide angle holder on my Canon 10-22mm - and at the 10mmm end - you can just (and I mean just) see vignetting on the corners. I then crop in lightroom to get rid - or photoshop the corners to blend them back in... Of course the holder doesn't only work on wide angle lenses - it works on any - but with the restriction that it holds only one filter. Best option I think though - good for a ND grad on those bright grey sky days...
 
I asked the same question a few weeks ago as I wanted to use filters on my Canon 40D with Sigma 10-20 and Canon 17-85.

I went with P rather than Z though.

There was no sign of the holder on the 17-85 lens but I could just make it out on the Sigma 10-20.

I then purchased the wide angle holder and I can't see it at 10mm. You only get 1 slot in the wide angle holder rather than 3 though.

So is that to say, the filters fit between all the cokin holders so I could just buy the Z holder afterwards if needed?
 
Just checked it and I don't see any sign of it at 10mm.

I have Cokin P slim holder attached to 77mm Kood ring for my 10-20
Cokin P normal holder attached to 67mm Kood ring for my 17-85
 
:shrug:Mine is attached via the adaptor ring that came with the holder:shrug:

I'll do a test shot tonight if I get the chance and upload. I've only used this setup once and was annoyed by it, haven't tried it since.

Perhaps the kood ring is slimmer ?

Certainly the holder doesn't show at 10mm when attached with the kood 77mm ring.
