I know the idea of the m43 system is compatibiity, but are there any issues involved with using Panasonic lenses with stabilisation on Olympus bodies with built-in stabilisation?

Does the act of mounting a Panasonic lens on an Olympus body remove the stabilisation from the lens, or does it give a sort of double stabilisation?

You don't get double stabilisation, you can chose one or the other. The switch on the lens over-rides the IBIS so if the lens OIS is on then the IBIS is off, if you switch the OIS on then the IBIS gets switched off.

OK. That makes sense and explains things perfectly.

Thanks very much.
