Assuming its the same as the Mark 2n you will need to change the back up settings so the camera writes the same images to both CF and SD. Ideally i would have thought you would want both cards to be the same size or one will fill after than the other.
I think with the Mark 2 it will only write the same images to bit cards e.g. raw to both or jpeg+raw to both etc. The Mark 2n could do jpeg to one and raw to the other.

Using Both Memory Cards for Image Recording (Backup.)
The image is recorded with the same file No, pixel count, and recording
quality in the same-numbered folder in both the CF card and SD card.

As suggested by Euan, ideally used same size CF and SD cards, I use a pair of 4 Gig Sandisk Extreme III cards in mine.

anybody have any idea if it has any effect on the buffer? might start doing this in mine...
