Utility warehouse - any experience...?

Yes
A friend of a friend has just mentioned that he works for utility warehouse and is touting for my business...
It seems from a quick look that they try to make ones bills easy and convenient rather than saving me loads of money.
I'm reasonably good at negotiating with broadband and mobile deals, and my wife thinks she's got us on pretty good tariffs and so far we've managed to avoid a smart meter.
Should we steer clear or is it worth looking into - anyone got any wisdom or experience to share?
Thanks if you have!

Last time I looked UW seemed to be a paid referral operation - they weren't particularly competitive unless you did a lot of "introductions" whereby you got discount as commission. It may have changed obviously.

Some years back.....might have been around 2014......one of my customers mentioned IIRC UW telling me it was a great service!

When I questioned him about the 'structure' it had all the "smell" of an American style MLM (Multi Level Marketing) scheme, I told thanks but no thanks. No way was I going to get involved in that, and I have no idea at what stage in the scheme he was but IMO in common with all MLM schemes it is the 1st & 2nd tiers that make the most money and the rest of the ranks are fighting for more & more numbers to 'make the grade'.
