UV filter wanted for 24-105mm mk2

Folks after recommendations for a UV filter for my new lens - happy to pay a premium for a filter which won't be light restrictive. Looked at a Hoya HD UV retails at £100 anybody using one thoughts.....?

Good filter but it's only £65 from Wex. Digital cameras don't need UV filters so I'd go for a Protector instead and the Hoya Revo 77mm is the same price as the HD from, say, Clifton Cameras.

Sorry that's what I meant or need a protector for the lens element
