UV, Polarising or Skylight

which filter would be best for landscape images? I know there are lots more options but I don't want to get into the whole ND grad filter thing as landscapes are not something I do regularly.
 
Polariser. If you only ever get one filter, get a polariser.

UV and skylight are for film, unless you want lens protection.
 
UV and Skylight dont really do anything on Digital, so Polarizer would be the obvious choice.
 
Agreed, but it's not really a case of which filter is best for this type of photography. A CPL is useful, but only when it's used selectively to improve the shot. I wouldn't leave it on all the time, for landscape or anything else.

Polariser pretty much lives on my super-wide. Sometimes I take it off ;)

Those who want a polarising effect? Anyway, Hoya HD only loses 1.2 stops. That's why I got it :)
 
I got a Hoya Pro 1 D CPL on a 67mm fit for I think about 40 something quid on amazon of all places!
