Vanguard bags. Any good?

Merry xmas all.
Been searching for a new sling or rucksack. Was looking at the tamrac evolution or another lowepro. Like the quality of both of them. Then while i was searching i came across Vanguard. Are they any good? Has anyone used them and hows the quality?

Vanguard bags are good and good value, lots of features. Up-Rise 45 came top in a recent magazine review of back-packs.
 
the vanguard bag ive got is prob the best bag ive ever owned.... there really well made and comfy to carry ive got the skybourne 53 much more comfy than the lowepros!!
 
Not used them, but did have a good grub around in a few at focus last year and they seemed very well put together, thought out and certainly impressed on initial viewing. I would certainly consider one if looking for something at the moment especially if a few peole can say they are using them and finding them to be as good in practice as they seemed to be on display.
 
i originally was using a combination of bags/ tripod bags etc and a fastpack 350...

i got all my stuff in the one bag, and yes whilsts its heavy, the straps are fab and distribute the weight well, and i managed to walk around for the day at bushy, then round london taking pics with a tripod on the back without any discomfort for the whole day- they have these air pockets which are really comfy, and the skyguard 53 is fully water resistant incase you cant get the cover on intime

if your near blackwall tunnel in london i'd happy show you mine.....
 
I have a Sky somethingorother 51. Its very well made, but massive and so quite heavy even empty. I've actually just bought a smaller Lowepro Classified 160 AW because of the size and weight. Quality wise I'd say the equal of the Lowepro.

edit: forgot to mention, despite the weight it's pretty comfy and I've carried it for a full day several times. My only issue is the belt sits a touch too high on me but that's a body size vs bag size issue.

Thanks all for your replies. Ordered a vanguard plus a lowepro from amazon. Will return one of them so will have a good look at them both when they arrive. Unfortunately no photographics shops here in glasgow apart from jessops.
