Hi chaps, getting excited as I'm soon to get a 5d Mk II and will treat myself to a new 'day bag' - I've been looking at the Vanguard Outlawz 17Z which is at the top of my spending range really at £55 ... if anyone has one are they happy with it ... I know I'll get the 5d with a 400mm 5.6 attached in the thing but what about my 24-105 - will I be able to slip that down the bottom somewhere ? - or anyone any suggestions for a shoulder bag with quick access please ? Regards Roger

I can't comment on this particular bag Roger, but I was looking at bags at the Focus show on Monday. Having not had any experience with the Vanguard bags, I thought I have a look along with the Lowepro bags (which I'm more familiar with). I wasn't particularly impressed with the quality of the insides of the Vanguard bags. The padding just didn't seem to be as substantial as the Lowepro or the overall quality as good. Just my opinion though.

Thanks Gareth ... yes it's really difficult buying these things on-line when the feel cannot be felt ... to add to my confusion I've just come across the Tamrac 'Velocity' and Pro Digit Zoom ranges ... maybe I'll just use a carrier bag ! Roger
