Variable ND Filter...a Bargain...But do I really Need It...

Anyone any experience of this...its a variable ND filter from 7DayShop...£28 for a 67mm...I had something similar for my telescope eyepieces long ago and it worked good for viewing...but dont know about photo work...maybe just handy to have in the bag for the odd occasion...
