HI all, I'm looking to take my Video to the next level and as such am looking into Variable ND filters so that I can control the aperture when shooting at a set shutter speed.
Problem is I've been researching these for a few days and looked on-line at filters from many brands (Tiffen, Breakthrough, Hoya, Sing-Ray etc.) and although they vary in how much strength they offer (so for example some offer 1-5 stops some 1-8 stops), they all seem to have one thing in common. At or near their maximum strength, they all give the dreaded X pattern.
The question then is does anyone know of a filter that minimizes this or get rid of it completely and allows a good percentage of the usable range to be used on a wide angle lens ?
