Why is vary focal micro adjustment not yet built into DSLR bodies? Standard micro-adjustment has been widely available for 3 or 4 years, but this does not always work well with zoom lenses. For instance, setting +3 on my old 70-200mm would work perfectly at 200mm, but would be slightly OOF at 70mm (which required no adjustment).
As most modern lenses report focal length to the body, why not have a range of 4, 6, 10 or whatever number of user definable ranges?
For example
70-100mm = 0
101-120mm = +1
121-150mm = +2
151-200mm = +3
