Velbon boomhead

I`ve just bought a velbon v4 boom arm for macro, but it comes with a thread on the end that if I fitted the camera to it the camera would point down so my question is is there a 90% head available?

Attach the tripod head to the boom arm, as per the illustration in your Amazon link (third pic down).

You sure? It would be very unusual in that case, even if you bought the tripod with head already fitted. Got a link to your tripod?

But either way, the solution is to fit a head to the boom.

Head will come off that http://www.wexphotographic.com/buy-camlink-tp-carbon-28-tripod/p1520974 It may be very stiff, perhaps secured with grub screws underneath (usually need an Allen Key for those).

Yes it will definitely come off, I had to camlink tpcarbon 24 and I fitted a giottos ballhead to it

Yes is does, thanks guys, in the past I`ve removed the screws but didn`t think it unscrewed,doh! I took it off this morning and had to buy a screw adaptor from my local photographic shop which broke almost straight away so I`m looking for another one as the one I got wasn`t the highest quality it seems,Harvey
