Very loose rumour: Large standalone Apple Trackpad

Interesting, wonder how it will compare to Wacoms?

Looks a lot sleaker (the Wacoms always seem to have to much surround).

But it is a valid point - with the right app I dont see why you couldn't use it as one?

Having said that it is also rumoured that it will have pen input and handwriting recognition.... so the iPads finger touch would miss out...
 
I *think* multitouch panels are capacitive & so don't work to well with pens, also the resolution is carp compared to resistive panels
 
Interested to see if this actually materialises. Although, to be honest, I don't need any more rubbish cluttering up my desk!

I can't see Apple beng stupid enough to release something like that without the ability to use a pen accurately on it.

Having said that didn't Jobs suggest that "if you see a stylus, they blew it" so maybe it won't have one. :p
 
Why this and not just a keyboard with a track-pad instead of the number pad, or just launch what this amounts too a 27" macbook pro
