Hello, basically i got afew lenses thrown into a deal when i bought some other gear, i'd like to use the lenses on my AE1 if possible. i haven't really delved too far into other manufacturers so i can only spot an FD or an M42 lens  if someone could identify which mount these are i would be eternally grateful! thanks in advance :)

Prob not a reply that you want but - Have you tried searching for the name of the lens's and what camera body you want to put it on & seeing if there is a mount/adapter that will fit

I'm confident that is not an M42 mount, for sure.

It's not a contax/yashica either.

What make of lens is it, or is it just too embarrasing to mention ?

What does it say on the lens, may give a clue to what it fits, looks a bit like a OM fit.

Dave.

i know, its not for a digital camera, so i may do better over in film and conventional. i didn't want to clutter up their forum with n00bish questions  i'd hope somebody would see it and tell me exactly what it was

i have M42 mount lenses so i know its not them, its only M42 and canon FD lens mounts i can idenify

i'll try over in film and conventional, they're probably more likely to know what it is :)

Hey - we're always happy to help in F&C - we were all noobs once  (Admittedly that may well have been a Loooooooooong time ago in some cases!)

So you have a question about "a very quick mount" !! :naughty:

a very quick mount indeed janice!

ian, you are a scholar! it looks like you are correct with the pentax k mount :D cheers for that (i'll bookmark that page for future reference too)

TheBigYin, i've ventured into film and conventional and its a friendly lot in there, but i'd already asked one n00b question that day so i thought i'd best put it in the correct forum :)

Well - similar to Alice who tried to "believe three impossible things before breakfast." We're happy to answer at least 5 Numpty questions* before people post a shot taken on film

*actually, some people, like myself have asked more than 5 numpty questions in one posting, so don't worry about the numbers ;)
