Evening all,

I took this photo earlier have this year and I have always admired it but never got a professional's opinion.

I really enjoy the depth of field and the symmetry in the photo. I've provided the original unedited and my attempt in photoshop.

I do like the simplicity of this. I prefer the first one without the order but I am sure others will have a different view.

It has a strange magenta tint, which is a shame. I think you just need to build the contrast slightly, and I feel the background could be lightened a little to give more depth and recession to the image.

The border doesn't really add anything which is a given, that was just me learning photoshop basics.

Agreed with the magenta tint though I don't know how that has happened, possibly the flash?

Convert it to B&W and do some dodging and burning it works quite well
