Video editing software

I know many of you don't see this forum as the place for such a discussion but it's only a quickie! I need some video editing software for my Panasonic camcorder as the software it was bundled with won't even recognise the camera to start pulling video from it!

What do people recommend/use? A few quid can be spent on this. :thumbs:
 
we delete loads of posts with people offering editing software :p

Sorry, can't help personally, but moving into computers etc, should get a better response there :)
 
windows movie maker should pull it in apart from that theres a plethora of software

trakax is cheap and good but i've not used it to pull in video

theres also the pinnacle stuff that's reasonably user friendly i understand or moving up you've got stuff like

edit studio
sony vegas
adobe premiere

and i'd imagine matrox/avid probably do something as well but it's been years since i've used their stuff and it was an integrated suite with the hardware at the time :)
