Video Monitor

pretty sure that the answer is a resounding.... NO.

Lots of people on the dvxuser and cinema5d forums say good things about the Lilliput HD monitors.

I have a SmallHD DP4, you won't regret the investment if you buy one

argh, I keep hearing amazing things, and I'm in the market... don't tempt me!

grrr, $1350 for the cheapest one with HDSDI though, argh :(

Yrs the DP4 is rather pricey, though a very robust and well thought out bit kit.
The Lilliput ate a mu h cheaper alternative to DP4.
As well as video I will use the monitor for live view work where I have the DSLR in low positions. Were viewing via the on board screen would be difficult.

I use the LILLIPUT 668GL and use it attached to the camera shoe mount, although will end up on a Magic Arm. With Nikon it takes the feed soon as you go into LV mode and shows camera data on screen as well.

I am still putting a rig together but I find it great for recording. Battery that comes with it is good for about 2 hours, its plastic but for the price its ok. If you buy on Amzon watch out for the extra P&P they slap on.

My mate bought one, a newer model and has hellish problems with it , so not sure if I was lucky as his replacement did'nt workout either. He's done a couple of unpack vids on it...think theres 4 parts.
