not the easiest of things to do so I decided to give it a try at home with the camcorder out of a window onto a bird bath. whch was successfull. drwaing he curtain hid me frrom view. The setujp was this
Camcorder Pnasonic HC-x1500 set in slow mode format ,this was on top of a manfrotto MVH400 tripod head mounted on a Moman tripod which sits on the window ledge . This side of the curtain is a21" monitor linked to the camcorder via an HDMI cable , the camcorder running from mains not battery. Also attached to the camcorder is a lanc remote switch for zoom and stop/start ( this is clamped to the desktop to save having to hold).
now like this I can watch without being watched
